Ouch I'm wounded!

So my mom calls and rather randomly says, so do you think you will marry again? I don't think so, ( after I had already said yeah thats the plan) I think you will be a bachlorette for life.

As it is not what I want that cut like a knife through the heart.

What have people said out of nowhere to you that did harm?

hug I'm sure she would hate that she hurt u.....try to look at it like she is saying I see u being independant and strong for the rest of ur life...prehaps that was the way she meant it .....words can be interperated in so many ways and quite often they aren't what is meant kiss2

man i don't even want to go there. lets just say up until now i would be rich if i had a penny for each time someone said something to me outta nowhere that hurt, i could buy that house oprah just bought. muse dont let it bother you. i chalk it up to somebody either being thoughtless, insecure or unhappy in what ever mess they got going on inside themselves (although i don't think your mother was trying to be mean). when somebody says something mean its usually more about themselves than anything. hug

Your a good, God fearing person. No one ever said the walk down that path would not go without persecution. Just stay positive. Hell I have people ask me everyday why I am not a) married b)have a steady girlfriend, and I'm 26! Just laugh and live life!

I don't understand folks who go around asking others when/if they are gonna get married. I am sure they would if the right person came along, and otherwise it's none of their damned business!!!! mad

My aunt complimented me a few weeks ago, saying that I lost weight and look good. She then proceeded to tell my cousin how fat I was a year ago.

Amen to that, mind you my dad never even insults me, he is pretty emotionless. A good insult is better than nothing at all!

I am still fat.

I had not been to my hometown alot the last few years, but this year I went there for the fair.

People kept saying; "You got fat!" all of the time.

But that's okay with me. I have become more of a man, hehehe. Only Fauxie has seen a picture of my thin self when I was 19, hehehe. And he will keep it to himself, thank you very much.

i had an argument with someone at work a couple of months ago, and they complained to management that i was:

a. violent
b. sexist
c. racist

her arguments didn't seem to go very far, but still it was hurtful. even when you know something a person says about you is untrue, there's that moment when i think, "well, why would someone SAY that about me? do they REALLY believe this about me? is this how i project to people?"

at the end of the day, this person was just lashing out in any way she could to get me in whatever trouble she could. it didn't work, other than the fact that it made me really upset. if that's what she wanted, i guess she won. shrug

I don't think you're fat at all. hmm That's SO typical Dutch though IMO. rolleyes People here will just say anything to your face, like "Hey, you gained weight!" mad or, "You look really tired or sick" or "You're way too skinny now. I liked it better when you were fatter."

wtf. I'd rather they just kept it to themselves. lol

They do that here too, especially among gay people. The worst being this time of year, when you are going to parties and such, catching up with people you haven't seen in a while.

It's like before they can even say "hello", they're coming at you with a scale and a fat caliper...

I hate it when people do that at parties, they'll tell someone in front of everyone else, "wow you've blown up" or something like that. It's really awkward for everyone, and just plain rude.

Moms though. For a while my mom did. She just wouldn't think about the things she'd say to me. She can be pretty inconsiderate at times. I don't really take to heart much of what's said to me these days though. I guess it's because I expect it now....and I'm over it.
