The Troll and the Princess (now with spoilers!) Okay, since some of you liked my short film "Hello!?" that I posted a while back I figured I'd show you another film of mine. This one is just for those who are really interested though, because it definitely requires an effort on your part to view it. You have to:
1. Click http://www.yousendit.com/...95TA%3D%3D and download the zip file. 2. Unzip it. 3. Print out the text file, which contains English subtitles that are crucial for understanding the film, since it's in Swedish. 4. Try to watch the film and read the subtitles simultaneously. Sorry that it had to be like this, but I've googled for hours for free, well-functioning subtitling software (feel free to tell me if you know of any!) without success. At least the film is only 5 minutes long, so hopefully it won't be too much of a torture to try to match the text with the visuals. As for the actual film, I wrote the screenplay myself but I shot and directed it with three other people, so the quality and choice of angles and such vary throughout. It was shot on 16mm which is bloody expensive, so we could only afford an average of two takes per shot. Needless to say, we ended up with some continuity problems and dodgy shots here and there, so cut us some slack. Do post comments though, it would be nice to hear what those of you that made the effort to watch it properly thought of it. [Edited 11/28/06 17:18pm]

there seem to be a few http://www.digital-digest...ry-21.html Thanks! I'll try them when I get a chance. I'm not too hopeful though, since every single one I've tried so far have been either a limited trial version or completely useless. The days of excellent shareware seem to over.

Damn, you're fast! Thank you. (That's the link for the other film, SexOnWheels) that was a good film too. troll & princess was the better story imo. i got emotionally involved in the film, considering it was a father telling his daughter that their family was falling apart.

It hit me hard. | |

oops That's okay, and I agree with you that the Troll and the Princess is better. "Hello!?" is more lighthearted and straightforward and I didn't put as much effort into it. I think the lead actress in the latter did a great job though.
