We've only recently discovered planets outside of our solar system, so finding one with life is a whole different kind of search.

And if there's life, most of it is probably not intelligent like humans, since of the millions of creatures on this planet, we're the only weird ones.

I think when we discover new life, chances are it will be in the form of bacteria or insect-like creature. It could be a long time before we find Vulcans.
