drivel. no one's saying these books are the end all and be all. Harry Potter is not the greatest piece of literature I've ever read, but it is one great story! I like what Christianity Today said about the books in this 2000 editorial: "Rowling’s series is a Book of Virtues with a preadolescent funny bone. Amid the laugh-out-loud scenes are wonderful examples of compassion, loyalty, courage, friendship, and even self-sacrifice." I personally don't think that JK will kill Harry at the end. She has said that she plans on continuing writing (but never in the fantasy genre again and definitely no more Harry Potter). She should know how many people will be pissed at her if she were to kill the hero. A lot of those people would probably never read her works again. | |
