He mentioned in an interview one time that he hated his pet cat, so he drove over it with his car. From that point on, I lost all respect for him. Every time I see an interview with him, he seems fake and comes off like a catty bitch.

he really said that?

Even if that's not true, it's not funny. lol

It was from a Rolling Stone interview...

I respectfully disagree. Clay's sexual preference has been INSINUATED repeatedly but he has never come out on his own. There has been numerous speculation about his sexuality dating all the way back to AI and certainly ratcheting up with the tabloid stuff a year ago. But no one has come out and said Clay was gay and Clay certainly hasn't said so himself. It has been strongly hinted but he has not been outed. Rosie was the first to flat out say that "IF he were a straight man" Kelly wouldn't have minded.

the enquirer has outed him repeatedly over the years. someone he tricked with had a cumrag with his DNA on it, they published pics of him taken from a webcam on manhunt.com,...

he's never officially come out, no, but he has been outed.

Being outed in the tabloids is not the same as being outed in mainstream journalism. Certain actors and actresses have been outed numerous times by the Enquirer, Star, etc. but until it's in NY Times (or hell, People magazine) she has not been formally outed. Rosie is a great example. The Star was doing pieces about her relationships years before it came out in mainstream press. The tabloids are usually right, from what I have seen and followed, but it's not official until it comes out in a "reputable" source. Saying someone is gay on the View is a lot different than saying someone is gay in the Enquirer.

Actually, I take that as it was an accident and it disturbed him (as I think it would disturb anyone) and that's why he hates the idea of having a house cat now.

i am not sure i agree. when is an outing ever "official" unless it comes from that person?

i am also fairly certain that the times has a policy against outing people, as would be the case for virtually any "reputable" publication.

Alot of people have already accepted Clay Aiken being gay as the truth. I think Rosie has as well, and was just speaking from that context.

I think I am going to re-state all my positions and leave it at that because I am stumbling all over my keyboard.

Kelly-Right in not wanting anyone's hand in their face but wrong in making a pretty direct reference to something that she shouldn't have.

Rosie-Right in supporting her friend but wrong in saying anything about Clay's sexuality since he is not even comfortable talking about it. And I do think wrong in being the first person in a media not found on the checkout aisle to acknowledge something that the individual has not revealed yet.

Clay-Keep your damn hands off of people's faces, not for any other reason other than it's not proper unless you have received either express written or verbal consent that you can put you damn hand in their face.

It seems like it was an off-hand comment and nothing more. I say that to people all the time when they do it to me without knowing or giving the slighest shit about their sexual preference.

very well said....I don't buy this as anything more than Kelly Ripa having a problem with ANYONE putting their hands in her face....In the culture I'm becoming very familiar with here in Iraq, it is considered a cultural affront and extremely rude to put your hand in someone's face, because you literally won't know where their hand has been...meaning that the hand in your face may have recently been used to wipe their ass after a go in the loo....and that would be my reasoning for telling someone that myself....I tell my kids that because they play with our pets, they play outside and like most kids aren't that good at remembering to wash their hands....

if she did put a little more flourish on the tone of her comment, I'm willing to bet that it was simply to sass it up for TV purposes....and nothing more...

Don't bother. No one was "wrong". God, these days EVERY single comment someone makes (especially if they are in the public eye) or situation they get into, is highly scrutinized and someone ends up having to make a public apology for offending someone. rolleyes Why do things have to be so difficult and confrontational all the time? bored Today's stars are not interesting enough on their own, so they have to create controversy at every turn it seems. confused

(although that whole Michael Richards incident was truly fucked up) disbelief

If this dude had ever publicly admitted to being homosexual it would have been all over the 'bloids - they've been waiting for this guy to admit it since day 1. But he hasn't... so why the fuck did Rosie open her mouth like that? It's fucked up...

Shouldn't she be called on that? Why is she bring the spotlight on Clay's sexuality when he wants it kept private?

And why is she accepting it as truth?

Rosie is a fucking dumbass. Who the hell would want somebody they barely know putting their hands on your MOUTH.

Nevermind that it was rude as hell on the part of Clay Aiken to do that shit. I don't want people putting their hands on my mouth. Why? Cuz just like Kelly Ripa said, I don't where their hands have been; if they wash their hands, if they just pulled their finger out of their nose an hour ago. Is this the first time anyone has ever said that? geez.

But that's okay he's gay so anything he does is okay and if anyone takes issue with it, they're fucking homophobic?! What in the hell is going on here? Rosie used her x-ray vision to see that deep down inside Kelly wouldn't have minded a dirty-handed straight man to put his hand on her mouth.

She needs to shut the fuck up. What's really happening is the show is taking away from her time on the soapbox and she was all backed up and jumped all over the first thing available for her to turn into an "issue" for her to rail against.
Yeah, Star Jones was a problem on that show. I am glad she called the show and set her ass straight. She should have smacked him. You put your uninvited hand on my mouth and you're not going to get just a "no-no, honey" from me. You're going to get hit.

he refused to acknowledge it, which is telling. all it would have taken was a DNA test to prove the cum wasn't his.

and they have webcam pics he sent on manhunt.net, a notorious gay cruising site.
