Cool!
Where did you find such nice pumpkins?
All the ones around here (Long Island) were nasty (bad crop year).

my mom knew how to carve pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns, and she was pretty damned good at it too. kinna makes me wish i had a house so i could try my hand at making one to sit on my front stoop.

We usually do all that fancy carving work that takes hours ... this yr I wanted old fashioned plain jane looking ones

I am still lighting them each night ... smile

We went to a pumpkin carving party this year. None as good as the professional one I posted, but very creative nonetheless. I don't have the pics back yet, though

After we look at them a while, we start squirting lighter fluid in them. Very cool (and dangerous, kids!) They are wet enough that they burn pretty slow, but the extra fire makes them way more evil!

Those are awesome pics and pumpkins! nod

I totally forgot to take photos of the 6 that I carved this year. doh!

Here's a cool site though, even if it's after Halloween and all:

http://www.extremepumpkins.com

I love the idea of using road flares to light them. I wanted to try it, but then everything got so rushed and I didn't go buy any. hrmph

Yeah, I was stupid not to take pics. doh! I have a ton of me and others in costumes at our party, but none of the pumpkins for some reason. disbelief

(My pumpkins weren't on that site though, I just think it has some cool ideas.) nod
