If I had any feelings, I would probably tear up at the end of Crimes & Misdemeanors and Alice.

I don't think you could ever get away with a movie this "Cute" nowadays, but the scene where his mother gets locked up becuase had tried to defend him, is devestating. She sticks her trunk through the bars and swings him in her trunk.

I cry like a little bitch in that scene. Sooooo touching and so sad.
It's the perfect movie about alienation--much more so than Rudolph ever was. I simply melt during that scene. Like a little bitch.

Movies about triumph and strength no matter the odds or circumstances like at the end of Black Hawk Down when the troops ran two miles back to the safe zone in the stadium or Behind Enemy Lines clapping and crying or one of my favorites Air Force One with Harrison Ford, at the end when they change call sings, gets me every time. flag There are the standards like Beaches, Steel Magnolias, Imitation of Life and Philadelphia but I cry those tears in my everyday life and that's just to much to bear.

Three movies get me:

Crooklyn - (Because it reminds me of how I grew up in North Philly!)
The Long Kiss Goodnight - (When the little girl is trying to wake up Mom)
Akeelah and the Bee - (Every Parent should take their child to see this movie!)

I really enjoy Platoon and I think that Samuel Barbers 'Adagio for Strings' gave that extra impact needed. I cannot listen to Adagio without my eyes welling, such a powerful piece of Music.

I've read some of the comments about Stepmom....and I've been sitting here thinking about it.....that was a champion tearjerker....granted, Susan Sarandon didn't die, but knowing that she was going to die...then u add in the holiday thing, with the saying those last goodbyes to her kids...and finally opening up to Julia Roberts....man, that shit had me at that point of near tears....when they're welling up and all of a sudden you gotta get up and take a deep breath.....

I don't think I've cried over a movie more than Dancer in the Dark. I've watched it twice and I'm not sure I'll ever watch it again, but man oh man, I was nearly sobbing aloud in the theatre the first time and when I watched it at home alone, I didn't even hold back.

omfg I forgot about that one! How could I?! I think that was beyond bearable and I probably blocked it out of my memory. I think we saw it together, if I remember...and we were all a mess afterwords. Loved the movie, but I don't think I could watch it again.

Oh yeah, a couple of other ones:

The Event
The Pianist

that movie should have it's G-rating revoked disbelief

the reason why all disney child characters have to have at least one parent killed is so they can go out and have exciting adventures they would otherwise not be allowed to have.

I should get the boys the turtles, they would love it - is it G or PG?
