"Iron giant" is another movie that is unassuming like "fox...". You do not think it will be much of a film, but that has heart aswell.

This is an old one (before star wars anyway). Its hippy ideals are ok with me, preserving nature and all that. In this case, its set way into the future, and the last rainforest is part of the spaceship....

Anyway, as a little kid, it may me cry. I think this film is obscure though? Its ending is so sad in a way.

The scene that gets me is when Pippin is singing while what's-his-face's father the steward is eating while he's sent his son (what's-his-face) off to basically be slaughtered.
The juxtaposition of Pippin's voice and the battle scene and the close-ups of the guy mowing down the food... I just really love that scene.

I don't think I've cried over a movie more than Dancer in the Dark. I've watched it twice and I'm not sure I'll ever watch it again, but man oh man, I was nearly sobbing aloud in the theatre the first time and when I watched it at home alone, I didn't even hold back.

As i've read the excellent and rather funny book, its obvious that Lolita looks a bit too old for the role (the girl in it is great though). It's a sad film nonetheless. Again, the end scene, where he hears childrens laughter from a nearby town is heartbreaking in a way, even though the viewer should be disgusted by it.

THE LITTLE MERMAID- I'm always moved when Ariel sings "Part Of Your World."


TERMINATOR 2- When Arnold is lowered into the vat of steel and little John

Connor begs him not to go. Very powerful.


GHOST- If you've seen it then you know why.


ED WOOD- Although most of this film is zany, a gripping moment surfaces when

Bela Lugosi commits himself into rehab and in his first night he screams all

through the night. It's a heartbreaking scene to watch this great actor

suffering.


THE SIXTH SENSE- When Cole tells his mom about how Grandma watched her dance and

that "everyday" she is proud of her.

That gets me too.....He is such a Good actor too, I didn't know until the other night when I watched Forrest Gump, but he plays Gumps son right at the end of the film - Thats another teary eyed film for me too - near the end when Forrest is talking to Jenny (Well her Grave) ..... Hits me every time .

yes, I think that Movie is one of Tom Hanks's best performances, that and Philadelphia. The Green Mile was another good one, I did get teary at that one too.

Saving Private Ryan....when Tom Hanks buys it at the end.....waterworks....I openly wept at the end.....

The ending is quiet touching, though I would have expected Tom Hanks to say something more like "This is your fault you dumb ass !!!"
