SEAHAWKS vs. VIKINGS GAME AT A GLANCE

The Seattle Seahawks (4-1) return to Qwest Field this Sunday when they host the Minnesota Vikings (3-2). Kickoff is set for 1:15 p.m. PT.
Seattle’s 4-1 start is the best since opening the season 5-1 in 2003, and it's their second 4-1 start in the last 21 seasons (1986). The victory over the Rams extended Seattle’s winning streak versus the NFC West to nine games.
Seattle looks to improve this week on a 24-3 record in their last 27 games at Qwest Field. The .889 winning percentage is the best in the NFL since week 16 of the 2002 season.
Seattle twice came from behind to defeat the St. Louis Rams 30-28 on a Josh Brown 54- yard walk-off field goal at the end of regulation. The win took the early NFC West lead away from the Rams. Meanwhile the Vikings barge into Seattle at 3-2 after entertaining their bye week.
This will be the 10th all time meeting between Seattle and Minnesota, with the Seahawks holding a 6-3 advantage. This will also be the fourth game in the last five seasons these two teams square off. Seattle has won two of those three, including a 27-23 decision at Minnesota in the last meeting on December 12, 2004. Seattle also won 48-23 on September 29, 2002, while setting a team record scoring 45 points in the first half of that game.
Seattle is 4-1 against the Vikings in games played in Seattle, including the only game played at Qwest Field in 2002.
Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren is very familiar with the Vikings, having coached in the same NFC Central division from 1992-98 while head coach of the Green Bay Packers. Holmgren was 5-9 in those matchups, however, he is 2-1 while coach of the Seahawks.

Date: Sunday, Oct. 22
Kickoff: 1:15 pm PT
Record: Seahawks 4-1
Vikings 3-2
Series: Seahawks lead 6-3
TV: FOX (Channel 13 in Seattle)
Ron Pitts (play-by-play)
Terry Donahue (analyst)
Radio: KIRO (710 am)
Steve Raible (play-by-play)

National Radio: Sports USA Radio

Carolina at Cincinnati (must-win for Bengals at home)

Detroit at N.Y. Jets (Mangini is Coach of the Year with 4-5 more wins)

Green Bay at Miami (Home field is the difference)

Jacksonville at Houston (could be a close one)

New England at Buffalo (hard to bet v. Pats in their divvie)

Philadelphia at Tampa Bay (Philly won't slumber long, not even v. Chucky)

Pittsburgh at Atlanta (If the Jints can get to Ron Mexico, Blitzburgh will)

San Diego at Kansas City (take the training wheels off No. 17, Marty!)

Denver at Cleveland (Denver, stats-wise, has better D than Chicago. Romeo's in trouble)

Arizona at Oakland (Leinart put 2 6's on the Bears, so the Raiders are in trouble)

Minnesota at Seattle (close one, mebbe, looking forward to july's never-ending photoshow!)

Washington at Indianapolis (Wilbon nailed it, the Skins' epitaph for '06 will be written here, especially now that the Colts have a Booger on their DL)

Monday, Oct. 23

N.Y. Giants at Dallas (Jints sacked Ron Mexico 7 times. By that reckoning, Drew Bledsoe's sack count behind a shaky OL will get to about 1,246)
