That way, when I do my laundry, I don't always have to be confronted with my own shame. you still call it "shame"?!

It's so great to know that black is the new black.
I've found that I wear it increasingly as I get older. Just feels and looks understated, yet really chic. (... Can a guy be "chic"?) Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It's not cold enough to bust out the coats yet. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I do rock a knee-length black trench, though, and I love it. Makes me look lean and sexy. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I'm not a goth and no one sees me that way either. Black just happens to be my signature color. It's amazing what I can get away with and still get complimented on (including the lipstick but my skin tone isn't pale). I started wearing all black in 1988 (I know, I'm a trendsetter). Like someone else said, I just gravitated to it. But back then, people thought I was a witch because nobody else in my small town wore all black. I mean, I didn't crazy makeup or go around talking about curses, but I had very long dark hair, pale skin and wore a lot of black.
I started wearing all black in '88 while in college. Surprisingly I wasn't seen as a witch though (which is funny because one of my deceased grandmothers was a practicing witch ).
