beautiful setting, and photo, but her dress looks like it has dirt on it. I'm sure it's beading, but it looks like schmootz

I think the pic is beautiful, B.

There's a softness to the pic (is that editing? or a result of the lens you used?) in her veil and in the background.

Was it staged? It looks great.

Thanks, ThreadBare...and no, it wasn't the lens, I reduces the noise (there really wasn't any to reduce, though) and tweaked the contrast. That's what I was doing yesterday.

It wasn't a staged photo, but I wasn't the photographer with them..lol...they were with another photographer, and went to sit down. I just kept my camera on them and followed them until I saw a shot I wanted to capture.

Awesome. NPR featured Annie Lebovitz yesterday on "Fresh Air," and she talked about the practice of keeping a camera trained on a subject for the perfect picture.

Awesome stuff, truly.

Thanks for the comments, everyone.. smile...I had posted this photo on a photography site and the only comment I received was "Too much diffused gloss for my tastes"...lol...Not that their comment would have stopped me from entering the shot into a contest, but since I was tweaking the image I thought I'd get some more core "gut" reactions from you guys here, too...I personally wish I could see the groom's face better...trying to decide if there's anything I can do to enhance his facial features without screwing up the rest of the photo...

fauxie...it is a pickle, yes. confused
Gary...I did yell out to the bride "Show us your tits!"...alas, she didn't. pout

I don't believe Asian people should be allowed to marry in the U.S. hmph!

NO!...I SWEAR I'm kidding! lol That couple is gorgeous, as is the pic!

I wouldn't worry so much about the groom's hidden face. There's something alluring about seeing only part of him and none of her. They, after all, belong to each-other now. We're merely voyeurs of a sort.

I will only say there is something slightly uncomfortable about the way his leg juts out. His foot sort of draws my eye downward. I could probably get over that, but just below his toe is some strange indentation or something on the stair. It's tiny, but for some reason it distracts me and helps keep my eye from returning upward. Does that warrant airbrushing, or am I just OCD? neutral

Photos taken in public usually aren't a problem...if it were a studio portrait then I'd need a release form.
