i highly recommend the Miracle Mile area as a place to live. it's got a good neighborhood feel, is centrally located with easy Hollywood, West Hollywood, Sunset strip and freeway access, and is affordable-ish. Miracle Mile, is that Mid-Wilshire? My Legacy

more or less -- techinally a stich west, on Wilshire. The tar pits, Park LaBrea, LACMA. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

You should move to the outskirts of L.A. rent is much cheaper. L.A. rent is ridiculous! Carpenters bend wood, fletchers bend arrows, wise men fashion themselves.

yeah, safe bet. I pay around $900/month for one bedroom in a two-bedroom apt. It's a pretty sizable place, though. I used to pay $895 for a small (under 500 sq. feet) studio in Burbank. Here's a good shopping spot: www.westsiderentals.com http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

But I live in the San Franciso area (even more expensive) and somehow I found a 2 bedroom place for $600 (though it took about 7 years to find)! My Legacy

You must live in the fields because $600.00 in SF is virtually impossible! In San Leandro, so virtually in the fields, yes, but still a good find. The difference between LA & Sf is that in LA I'd drive the distance between San Leandro & San Francisco every day, but up here I almost never do it. [Edited 10/5/06 15:01pm] My Legacy
