Ever hear something...

...about someone you thought was a friend that just makes your stomach drop? the kind of things you just DON'T want to believe about them because you still want to believe they're the good person you became friends with in the first place...

well .. hearing through a grapevie can twist things ... have you spoken to this person directly and asked them for truth ?

hug

even GREAT people/firends can twist fact /truth when relaying info about another ...specially if the gossiping one is upset in any way

Of course these things happen and you want to believe the best about people, but there always comes that time that the honeymoon phase is over in any relationship, friendships included.
If you're hearing something second-hand, you don't really know what happened, so that's always something to keep in mind.

some things are better left unknown. if you'd never heard that piece of info, you would still have the same feelings about them. was learning the info really necessary? if it doesn't affect me personally, i really don't want to know about the scandals in my friends' lives and the skeletons in their closets. if they want to talk to me about those things, they'll make that decision on their own.

I agree... and yes I've asked them about it and they were quite vague about it but thats perhaps because they don't want me to have to get involved with it all.

there's WHOLE other history with the person trying to tell me things and the person they're telling me about... which is none of my business basically. I've told both of them I want nothing to do with it. the thing is there's a tiny part of my intuition that is telling me there is truth behind it too...

I will have more information when I actually meet this person... I'm a good judge of character I think so I'll know more then

thank you Mach rose
