This may be an Indiana-only thing, but does anyone remember Roselyn Bakeries?

I was just thinking about Roselyn Bakeries this morning - there was a big chain of 'em when I was a kid - and their pastries were so GOOOOOD. Freaking amazing neopolitans, and they had Ding-Dong-ish creations with chocolate sponge cake and whipped cream dipped in a chocolate shell that were The Deal. drool

Anyway. Roselyn's kicked much fat donut ass. Were they anywhere other than Indiana? Do these stores still exist? I want a neopolitan! bawl

Why is there a Massachusetts Avenue in Indiana?

And do you guys call it "Mass Ave" like we call ours?

kinda like i did when i first moved to NYC and insisted on saying "south of houston" as if i were pronouncing "houston, texas" rather than the NYC version (HOUSE-ton). i fed myself to the lions several times with that one.

not as bad as a friend of mine in chicago who STILL insists on saying "GREEN-WITCH village". disbelief

Anx....they do call it Mass Ave...lol What are you talkin' about. eek They just had a Taste of Mass Ave fest. They advertise it as a thing to visit in Indy..."Mass Ave". You've been away too long. lol

And Roselyn is closed and sells its products through Marsh. There are no Roselyn locations anymore.

There were no Roselyn Bakeries in Gary.
There was Solomon's fish shack, but that's not quite the same.
