ever feel like all 4 walls are closing in on you?

I usually deal pretty well, but I feel like I'm about to have a breakdown....soon.

what do you do to combat that?

this is the rare serious post from me. sad

Take a step towards making a positive change in your life.

When I feel stressed out, it's very affirming to remind myself that I am creating a change that is worth looking forward to.

I'm going on a cruise next week, but I had to lie to get the time off from work, and honestly . the problems I'm facing right now aren't going to go away, so I don't even think I'm going to be able to enjoy myself

sad

This was no bullshit. Even if you can prepare for something inevitable.

I often get claustrophobic and usually what i do is take some time out for myself and then call my mother.

If I'm feeling trapped because of certain problems in my life I usually try and take steps to solve those problems, if I can, or try and make peace with what is going on so that I can deal with it better.

hug

Good luck.

then let me say

you have two beautiful children who look up to you
you have a lot of smarts behind those beautiful eyebrows batting eyes
you have a successful career - one which has rewarded you handsomely recently

yes, you will still have to deal with psycho candy or bambi or whatever her name was
and i get that you are frustrated not having the girl you wanted
but perhaps there was a reason? something that you weren't ready for yet deep down?
we are on a journey... and the experiences we have i believe only prepare us for what is to come

maybe i am totally off the mark not really knowing you or what is driving you over the edge
but you are a wonderful, caring, handsome, clever man
and i will send out a cyber hug to you anytime hug

If you have an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) at work that provides a certain number of free sessions, please take advantage of that. It's confidential and they can help you make a plan to help dig yourself out of the holes you feel you're in. If you need more sessions or more intensive financial/professional/mental health counseling, they can refer you.

You strike me as the type to laugh and BS and keep it all inside, then self-destruct as a result. Please think about reaching out for help. If you don't have an EAP at work or if you prefer not to go the traditional therapy route, there are tons of "life coaches" out there (yes, that's literally what they're called) that some insurances cover. YOu meet with them in person once to form a game plan, then from that point on, you usually touch base by telephone to follow up on progress....

I like napping.

Rest isn't just for the phyical body. While in rest, we have dreams, they act as a cleansing of the mind, and a subprocess of thoughts.

Nothing makes me feel all is right in the universe then being in a confertable bed, in a darkened quite room, alone with my thoughts, and within the spiritual realm.

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
