The Banana Splits was like a kids' variety show. Besides 'Arabian Nights', the other cartoon was 'The New Adventures of Gulliver'.


I'll always have a soft spot for 'Davey & Goliath'. In NYC, it used to come on Channels 9 & 11 early Saturday & Sunday. I would get up 7;30AM just to watch it. The half-hour holiday specials were the best(Christmas, New Year's, Easter, Halloween & Back-to-School).

It finally came to me, after a decade of trying to remember the name of this show on Saturday morning that I loved... thanks to this thread!

Ghost Busters! Where they would get the message and it would self destruct at the beginning of the show!

Can't wait to call my brother in the morning because he told me I was delusional and it never existed!

I loved the teenage mutant ninja turtles, and the Racoons! woot!

Also Button moon, but that wasnt really a cartoon.

I really liked all the good ol' MGM and Disney cartoons, the proper ones nod with mickey and donald and tom and jerry and foghorn leghorn! lol

I was/am a Disney girl. Donald Duck was my fav. . . I think it was Quack Attack that was on right after shool. thumbs up! And later I watched the Ink and Paint Club with great regularity. But, yeah, lots of Disney.

also, the shows were put on video a while back, but i don't know if they made the leap from VHS to DVD. shrug

Duckman was a trip. The USA channel at one point would show reruns of it along with The Critic

there's a really fun krofft supershow sampler dvd set that i think you can rent from netflixx...it has an episode or two of all their weirdo shows - bugaloos, lidsville, great space coaster and some other stuff i don't even remember. it's some great '70s cheese!
