star trek -omg you guys i'm such a dork

I was watching Star Trek: Generations on TV this evening. I'm not a huge crazy fan, but it was better than the crap on the other channels.

Anyways -I cried! At the scene near the end where Picard buries Kirk, I cried. I hadn't even been drinking. I feel like the biggest dork in the world right now for getting all teary-eyed over a movie with William Shatner in it. boxed geek

Then check out Has Been Shatners last CD. The song bout him finding his dead wife face down in the pool will have you in Puffs for a week.

Actually its a pretty damn good cd, its produced by Ben Folds who manages to keep the schtick but also adds a levity that Shatner adores.

Plus you get guest vox by Ammie Mann, Henry Rollins, Joe Jackson and Ben Folds.

The cover of Common People is worth the find alone.

I love some Trek! Not Star Trek generations so much, mind, but for instance, I got teary in Star Trek Nemesis when Data went down. Oh, and over the fact it was going to be the last of the Picard movies. I love TNG.
This one's for you.

William Shatner should have been killed twice and buried twice in that movie for this mess:

I've got a lot more respect for a celeb who plays along with the joke, or even makes it before anyone else can like Shatner does than a celeb who gets angry when people make fun of them for their flaws.

I'm a huge Star Trek fan. I'm really excited for the DVD of the 70's cartoon, which I've never seen.

But I have to say, the new Battlestar Gallactica has just kicked Star Trek's ass big time.
