I certainly wouldn't "ignore their feelings", but the bottom line is that I come first - always - and if that doesn't jive with someone that is into me, I can't be bothered to hang around.

Plus, I need to be with someone that also puts themself first. I don't want to be taken care of and I don't want to take care of anyone.

To answer your question, when I was single and didn't want to give my # out, I'd say I had a boyfriend. That way no feelings are hurt. Bars generaly aren't the best place to meet people.
