I have a job working a graveyard shift. I'm presently enjoying my last hour of nightly freedom before I put on a nice outfit, load up some food and get out the door. There are few things I like about my job, so most of my days are spent in miserable dread, trying to catch up on sleep and watching the clock. So, I've made a wee list....

Things I Like About My Job
The freedom involved. I work my own schedule, on my own time.
I meet some interesting guests to our hotel.
Oh, and the freedom.

Things I Hate About My Job
The interesting guests from the hotel who bitch about extremely stupid things.
The hours between 2 am and 6 am when everyone's asleep and I sit alone on my ass.
3rd Shift, 11pm-7am.
Low pay.
Setting out the continental breakfast.
Missing my nightly shows cos I'm asleep. (Thank goodness for DVR)
The fact I never really get to see my fiance any more because he works second shift. We're only awake about 2 hours together.
I never get to sleep with my fiance.
I have no energy to do things I need to do during the day.
I'm the only person on staff during my shift.
I don't get to have sex any more because our schedules are so off.
Did I mention I miss my fiance?

Now, tell me the things you like and hate about your respective jobs.

Oh come on... You all can't be that happy at work. And if you are, say something. Give me hope that the entire working world isn't miserable!

I like getting paid money.


I also like sleep.
