i have incredible respect for those men and women who put themselves in places and situations that i could never imagine... all in the name of keeping those of us at home safe. i think it has been said many times here above, i do not have to agree with the war personally, but i DO believe those of you out there doing all that you can do to fight evil are heros in my eyes. i will pray for your safe return and i will even pray for better weather for you lol...

with all my heart, i pray that you are safely returned home and that you believe today and everyday that you and everyone with you are so important to all of us

HEY GANG!!

Well, I finally got off the port and made it to my final destination here in the 'Raq! I am glad because I can finally settle in and stop living out of my bags. I'd love to post some new and exciting pix, but one of my bags ended up in the wrong place....and my cam and other stuff is in it....bummer.

The spot where I am, al Asad, is west of B-Dad out in the middle of nowhere....literally!! We're working out of a tech control center, maintaining some communications assets...super exciting stuff....Its rather boring here and the landscape is DEEEpressing...but we're pretty much on our own out this far and no one from our parent unit is here to mess with us so there are perks. Nothing really to do except work out....and work out some more....as soon as I get my bag back and my cam, I will take some shots and post them....I have to admit that I may have been here too many times because it just feels like another day at the office....luckily, we're not ducking too much around here....but just the same, the quiet is a bit disconcerting...almost too quiet...but safe for now....
