Howard Stern show on Sirius

Just a general thread for those that have Sirius and listen to Stern. How has it been. The show has had it's ups and downs, but I still love it. Better than it was on regular radio. The guests still leave something to be desired (it's about the same people he's always had on....I figured a whole lot of people would be jumping on the show now but I guess not). The lastest Artie revelation was great. I'm even getting into Robin's new stunt of racing Bubba (who sucks).

There is so much going on. I can't recomend Sirius enough for great radio. It is a bit pricey, though.

Artie's lastest revelation is that Artie was on herion during that time when he called in over a year ago. HIs mother helped him get off it with an intervention or something. It was some miracle drug that helped him get off it really quick, rather than rehab. He revealed this Thursday (and it seemed like he was really itching to it off his chest) when a homeless guy told everyone he was an addict. Artie broke out some miracle drug and said maybe this would help you.

Beetlejuice comes and goes. Some appearances are better than others. Lately the only thing that gets him worked up is when Sal and Richard tell him say things (they say stuff in his earphones and the listeners don't know what they are saying and he just starts saying crazy things....the first time, I and others had no idea). I think he's been in a funk since his manager had a stroke (I think he is making a recovery).

Bubba the Love Spoonge is the afternoon guy that Howard hired. He is located in in Tampa. I and most others think he sucks but he seems to be pegged as Howard's predocessor. He is a big redneck and races in cars (like Nascar and stuff) and Robin bought a new car (and this is after Howard gave her a Mercedes...yeah, a lot has happened in nine months!) and it came up that she could beat him. So now they might be racing.

It was a week or so and I think he clamed he was sick. Howard figured it was something more. He might have also taken some time off for the movie, too, but this wasn't part of it.

OMG thank you for that info!!! hug

I remember when Artie kept calling in. Howard was starting to get worried about him. I think I remember that everybody was worried about Artie's drinking and cocaine usage then. Not heroine! He's a wreck of a man!

So people were whispering in Beetle's ear to make him sound all retarded?!?@!?! What a rip off! How did you discover this. Did it just slip out or something?

Oohhh Bubba the Love Sponge...he DOES suck!!! He's not funny at all.

Howard gave Robin a Mercedes!?!?!?! What?!?!? OMG. I miss them all. How's Bababooey?

I'm down with Tom Green now. Howard's fans always prank call Tom's show!

When they whispered in his ear, he sounded very coherent, actually. He is definately retarded! He started making these anti-semtic comments....toward Artie. Yeah, I'm also hoping the whole Beetlejuice thing is not an act. They started doing it after a really bad appearance where he wasn't saying anything at all.

Yeah, I think it was a Mercades. It cost like a million dollars, but she gave Howard a million dollar birthday (it wasn't on an the air party like in the past, but parts of it were later used for on the air).

I didn't know Tom Green had a show...on the radio? Sal and Richard do a lot of pranks and the ones they use all the time (which are very funny) are from Cable Access, since they don't need premission and they swear.

Tom's show is online. It's internet TV. The link is in my signature.

Anti-semetic remarks toward Artie?!?!?! lol I think Beetlejuice suffers from depression as well as all the other craps that's wrong with him. He's like a dwarf pinhead or something. Have you ever seen the movie, "Freaks?"
You gotta see it. The pinheads in that movie look so much like Beetlejuice, minus the corruption. Pinheads are sweet!

Once I was in LA and Beetlejuice was appearing with the group The Smut Peddlers at a club. I wanted to see him, but my ex husband was taping his appearance on Wheel of Fortune the next day and he had to get some rest! Well, at least he won (NOT a lot of $$) but damn I wanted to see Beet!

I wonder if Robin and Howard ahve ever hooked up? They totally should!

I want my Howard Stern show back.

I was all amped about getting Sirius when he first went over but once the players were sold out & I couldn't just get the one I wanted I just forgot about it shrug

I still wish I could hear the show when I'm up that early but since I'm not ALWAYS up or available to hear it when it's on I know it would be a waste for me.

It's no waste at all because get this.... Did I mention that Howard as two stations, including one that plays it 24 hours! First there was only one replay, at 7PM. That was totally inconvinent and frankly, Howard didn't have enough material to fill that many hours. So they finally changed it to one station playing the show 24 hours, another playing HOward's show starting at 9AM (the West Coast feed) and then goes into the afternoon show (Bubba), a speciality show at 7PM and then a night guy (Scott Ferrel). The show might run for nearly six hours, and with a lot less commericals. The show runs from 6AM to whenever (usually around 11) and then Gray and another guy (John Hein who came up with "Jump the Shark") host a show called "The Wrap Up Show", talking about the day's events. Usually some juicy stuff happens there, including cast members making rants! On most Fridays, though, a verison of this show called "The Friday Show" gets played and Ralph, yes, Ralph, is part of that and they play clips from the show (including clips from older verisons of the show, including WNBC, the Channel 9 show and now the Krock tapes). It's a lot to explain but basically remember the show is on 24 hours a day, until the next show. It plays all weekend, too.

The systems can be really cheap. I got mine after Thanksgiving for a steal. It's a good model that has a lot of features (doesn't tape, though) and it all costs $50, including the Boombox (in fact, after reabates, I only paid for the Boombox).
