Dude, I've been to Iraq myself (just got out of the Marines) so I know what you're going through. From one service member to another, be safe drink LOTS of water and stay alert but I'm sure you know that already smile

1st off....to all who have sent such wonderful messages of support and prayers of safety, THANK YOU ALL!! This post was my way of saying goodbye to a wonderful group of like minded purple people.....but it turns out that all of u are beautiful people, PERIOD!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the outpouring.....and to those who acknowledged IggyKatt (my heart) thank u so much as well....this is her 4th deployment since she became a military spouse, but she'll be the first to tell u (along with some current and former military spouses in the Org) that it doesn't get any easier to deal with.....

WOW!! U guys are the best.....but then, we're fans of the greatest of all time....so it has to rub off, right?

ANYway....still stuck at the port, so nothing new to report....I'll keep up on things and post pics when I finally fly the koop on this suckass place and get to that other suckass place..... lol

U aint bullshittin.....this is my 3rd time here and I swear it gets hotter each time.....my head is about to explode from the water/gatorade mix....and to top it off, now we get told that the bottled water here has way too much calcium so it causes kidney stones in some people....so now we also have to drink the worst cranberry cocktail (not ocean spray) ever....tastes like they collected up all the cranberry crap from Thanksgiving and processed it for drinking.....GROSS!!!

anyhoo....glad u got out of this hole in one piece...and are safely home....where I'm going, I'm gonna have to keep my head on a swivel no matter how many times I've been here....so trust me when I tell u, troop to troop, that keeping my ass in one piece is high on the "to-do" list.....
