i make pretty decent money (not great, but decent), and i choose to live in a pretty big apartment by myself. my rent is $900/month. because said rent is that much, i drive a 1989 buick regal, since i can't afford a new car payment/full coverage insurance and my rent. there are people in my circle (friends, co-workers) who drive these great suv's and newer model cars, but they live at home, are married etc. also, it always perplexes me how people who live in th eworst neighborhoods always buy the most expensive cars.
so..is it it more important to live where you want to live and not drive what you want to drive, or should you drive what you want and settle to live somewhere you might not want to be?

I knew a guy whose goal was to have a nice car and at least one nice suit! Of course he was 16 then.

I just bought a place with my girlfriend in a nice location, but I drive just about the cheapest car on the road.

I spend about 20/30 minutes a day in my car (normal day). Sure, it goes 180mph, but I'd be lucky to get to 20mph in City traffic

Give me my favourite location instead anyday

However, I wouldn't want to live in the Ghetto, or any state outside of Florida, New York, or California.

Plus, There's no point in driving a Veyron, if I don't live near a Toni & Guy, which is not in every city in the Union.

I don't need an expensive car.....but I do need a car. I don't live in the city, so it's impossible to get around without a car. My commute to school is an hour away too....so yeah Even if I was loaded, there's no way in hell I'd pay $400,000 for a car...are you fuckin' serious? I mean really...who needs that. When people start shelling out that much for a car that serves the same purpose as a car that's way cheaper, then I think it becomes more of a status/insecurity issue to compensate a lack of something I'd defintely pick to live anywhere I wanted to be. Somewhere that's laid back on the Southern Cali coast would be nice.
