we saw "kiki & herb" on broadway this saturday, and they are this hysterical drag act, with kiki being played by a man. they are an aging lounge act that sings the most inappropriate lounge versions of songs. it's just hilarious.

anyway, she launched into a lounge version of public enemy's "don't believe the hype" and i couldn't stop laughing.

on the cd of the previous show they do a brilliant medley of "the revolution will not be televised", wu-tang clan, eminem, and talking heads

actually, she sings very well. i dont think him singing it would be funny at all.

seeing a young drag act performing as a 70 year old washed up lounge singer who is growling "WU-TANG MUTHAFUCKA" over the paino is waaaaay funnier than anyhting he can possibly do.
