annoying people at your job

don't you hate when you finally realize the "childish" adults on your job really make you sick?

they rant and complain with you about something as simple as "umm, why did you take my stapler??? That's my stapler, thank you very much."

today one of my co-workers, early this morning, thought i was trying to take her paper towel. how stupid is that? she got an attitude with me and everything over me taking a paper towel out the machine thingy, and felt that i should have pulled the little piece down for her as well...but she was still washing her hands!!! why would i pull down the piece thingy for her too if she was still washing her hands??? that stupid hooker disbelief
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

ya know what the ultimate can of raid is for that kind of behavior?

yield to them. yield to them absolutely. the more ridiculous their behavior, the better.

when someone pulls that childish bullshit and you respond like their stapler is the most important thing in your world or that you want nothing more in life than to satisfy their paper towel needs, believe me - they'll leave your ass alone next time. either they'll realize they can't get a rise out of you, or else it will creep them out that you're so accommodating and they'll move on to someone else.

i have no freaking time or patience for that nonsense, and since childishness is the accepted language where i work, people pretty much leave me alone. smile

i just don't understand how our HR people amassed the collection of people i have to experience every day. i mean, does a recruiter stand outside a sideshow tent waiting for freaks to get fired? sometimes i just look at a certain person and wonder how they came to exist - how they were able to choose their outfit for the day - how they find their way home. it boggles the mind.

I think the most we argue about at work is car-parking spaces, since I got promoted, I have a 2 minutes walk to work, it didn't go down so well seeing as there are people here who have been in the company for over 10 years, and just over 1 year biggrin

The most annoying thing I have to deal with is over-sharing. I get cornered into listening to long, detail-filled accounts of everything from hospital visits to relationship issues to weird dreams. disbelief I like to think I convey my disinterest loud and clear, but some folks are really great at not noticing.

oh, that part's easy. stupid people hire stupider people to work below them. it makes for easier blame scenarios. the stupidest person gets blamed, but doesn't get fired because, you know, they're stupid.

That's a blessing & a curse.

Someone at my job talks ALL the time, and at a volume where you can hear her throughout the building. Moreover, it's usually not work related, but about her children or about being outraged about the new Flava Flav reality show or something.

Shit, join the Org & keep it quiet, at least!

why do I keep posting twice?

I think that, too. We run across all kind of kooks through our day. I deal with them for a few minutes, but they have to live their lives as themselves, and I have no idea how they survive.

I didn't know if i was suppose to be embarrassed or offended by his comment...because she was being SO DAMN RUDE!!! pissed sometimes i just want to tell her to SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! At least you like her lol

Actually I do like this woman a lot, but she's pretty ridiculous. She talks to herself also, laughing & screaming from parking lot at 9:00 to parking lot at 5:00

She's also not an editor, so I come home with quote from her like:

"oh, all babys masturbate..."

"that city is like a dirty vagina"

"oh, god it was awful, they were sooo white!" I guess I should feel complimented that she's confide this to me, a white boy.
