I'm WAAAAYYYYY older than all y'all and I bought mine last year. I LOVE it ~ at least the concept, but mine crashed exactly a year to the day I bought it. Fortunately, I got the three year warranty so it's off being repaired or replaced now.
Gangsta talked me into getting the biggest one available and it was about a third full when it died ~ what a lot of great music all in a little magic box!!!!!

Speaking of iPods.....mine has been freezing up a lot lately. I wonder if this happens often to other people. It would freeze up at the start of every other song for about 2 minutes or so as if it's in lock mode. Other than kinks like that....I love my iPod.

I will buy myself one someday in the future since I do not think I will get one as a gift..

If yours was manufactured two years ago, it may be the battery, call Apple up and give them your serial number, it may be one of the many defective ones they put out and they'll replace yours; they did it for me.

so if u have a warranty with where u bought it, do it now that the apple warranty is up...

i ended up selling it to my sister and just bought a new one i couldn't resist it, the new ones are so sexy... who loves podcasts?! I DO!
