Everyday we are bombarded with "Entertainment News", an oxymoron at best.

CNN has an hour devoted to it.

E!tv is a network devoted to it.

Then there's ET and Access.

How much do you watch "entertainment news". I channel surf a lot between these types of shows.

Lately though, they are horrible. I don't care about Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Nicole Richie, Donald Trump, Nic and Jessica, Brangelina or any of the regularly, REPEATEDLY featured stories du jour.

They are infomercial. They are worse than ham salad.

That makes me sad. They could be so cool.

If I had my own show, I'd find out what Alan Rickman was doing. And every day there'd be candid Prince pictures. I'd have "Prince Watch" and "Prince World Tour Countdown"

"This is day 101 and Prince has STILL not announced any tour dates..."

Throw in daily Johnny Depp news.

What else? I'd show celebrities doing things besides shopping, partying, walking red carpets and having sex...well, okay...we could keep the sex stuff, but only on Fridays to start the weekend off on the right foot.

And that's another thing...Red Carpets...they are getting so over done these days. "Some organization opened...a can of tuna... Paris Hilton was on the red carpet..." *ugh*

I do not watch entertainment news or buy any so called entertainment magazines. Once CNN ran that jennifer Aniston was engaged and didn't fact check, I was done watching them for regular news as well.

And you are wrong: there is nothing worse than ham salad.

the sad thing about "news entertainment" is that they focus on w.a.i.f.s (why am i famous). not really entertainers. i'll tune into the BBC news, which primarily focus on world news/events.

Nah, I don't participate much. If I'm super bored @ work & too lazy to go out, got nothing to read & left my IPod @ home THEN I'll partake every few months. But about 10 minutes in I always feel like I wanna shoot myself for watching. It's all so damn goofy, especially when they know they're low on content so they do a "cast of Dallas" reunion for the 85th time

Just in the goofing around I did yesterday I found out that Harrison Ford is involved with an aviation foundation aimed at supporting youth interest in flying.

It's not hip, it's not glamorous and it doesn't involve sex but it's nice to hear how he's spending his time.

I LOVE hearing the fashion news. (Except that Paris Hilton seems to be setting the trends ick) I guess I should just watch the fashion designer show ya'll start threads about...Project Runway? Is that the title?

I certainly don't watch the shows like I use to.
