Some Public School Teachers who have Tenure, and are not Sweeny79, are Vacant!

My 6th grade teacher had tenure. She had been at the school for over 20 years, and they coudn't fire her.

Her name was Mrs. Lee. That bitch was my english teacher, and she struggled to read 6th grade meterial, I shit you not!

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

You know, having that many qualifications in the title really takes the teeth out of this thread.

As the son and friend of many wonderful teachers, I have your back:

Now, once more with feeling.

"Teachers can be vacant!!!"

I've had a few vacant teachers in my time. I look at my mom and friends as wonderful exceptions to their trade.

The worst teacher I had was in English Lit 201.

Basically the course was supposed to cover early american Lit (Johnathan edwards, Hawthorne, etc), but he went on night after night about how conservative values are repressive and how education is a liberal institution.

He finally quit about 3 weeks before class was to end telling the staff that we were unteachable. falloff

The head of the English Department had to give us all a crash course on early American lit. falloff I laughed my ass off through much of the class becuase I had no clue college was that different from High School until I had that class. lol

My worst teacher was for Spanish 3. I was a junior in h.s. and had plenty of experience with Spanish (as you might imagine -- it was the third in the series offered by my high school).

I had all A's in the course and was extremely surprised to see that my teacher had given me a C for a grade, one quarter. I explained to my dad that he would need to meet with her, because I'd been doing really well in that class (and I was afraid of it messing up my GPA).

He met with her, and she told him that she'd walked around the classroom and found some papers of mine in the back of the class that she said must not have been collected. With the newfound papers entered into her gradebook, she said, I had an A.

Mind you, I sat in the front of the class...
