Does Anyone Use A GPS System Or Handheld?... Would REALLY like to hear your experiences, suggestions and thoughts on their use, if you don't mind...I'm not looking to buy one, I'm trying to design one...so if there's anything you can give that would help give me some insight into the mindset and desires of GPS users, I would greatly appreciate it. (For the record, we're also doing official user testing to get some of the same info, but I wanted more information to work with)...
Anyone have any experiences or suggestions to throw out?...

If there is anything specific you'd like me to ask him let me know.

So basically, my first response still stands. No.

My husband and I use a handheld GPS for Geocaching. It's alot of fun to do and we get some good exercise as well!
For us, the most important thing is accuracy (of course) and the compass comes in very handy. It seems that his is a bit complicated to use when recording the coordinates. I am still learning so I don't know alot about it yet, but he is really good at using it. He wants to buy a new one that his a walkie-talkie as well. He plans to use it for hunting.

I have a GPS watch for running. It pretty cool....keeps track of my distance and pace and elevation etc. and downloads it to the computer. It works pretty well unless I run deep into woods or near tall buildings. It's prettty awesome having total freedom to run where I want when doing a 20 mile run and having accurate distance numbers.

I hate the stupid voice, she sounds like our queen, really preppy.....I always turn that bitch on mute and follow the directions shown on my dashboard!

Anyone have any experiences or suggestions to throw out?... I have a GPS.It's complex. When I'm on a hunt, I take friends who are guides. I never get lost with them, and they don't use GPS's to navigate. I've gotten a little bit lost with my GPS but navigated using landmarks. Where the sun sets, rises, thus N,S,E,W. A GPS can run low on batteries so if you're in the wilderness where sometimes even a cellphone doesn't work, you're better off developing an instinct for direction and having a compass handy.

I'm waiting for cars you don't have to drive.
Just punch in your destination and the car takes you there. No More Haters on the Internet.

I so wanna try that! In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Does anyone have any feelings about the graphics or the navigation (navigation meaning, how you get from the main screen to sub-screens)??...Are the maps easy to read as you're driving?...
