My new kayak!

It'll take me two years of paddling to makeup for the damned money i dropped on it, but I've already spent $250 in rentals since spring of this year, so I may be able to get my break even point in about a year!

Kayaking burns 500 calories per hour, and the average kayak trail last between 2 and 4 hours. That's alot of cardio!

The Tampabay and surrounding areas is aboslutely breathtaking from the water, so I highly recommend anyone who lives near water to take this sport up. It's peaceful, it's meditative, it gets you out in nature, and it's good for you!



I admit, I'm bragging a little here, but really this thread is more about me not being able to contain my excitement. I've been wanting to do this for a couple of years, but couldn't afford one until my car payments were done. And now they're done, so I can be the Grup I've always aspired to be.


What outdorsy things do you like to do? What have you not done, that you would like to do?
