Yeah, it's one of my photos..lol lol...Thank yew. cool

And the documentary is brilliantly done...you learn so much about the events in the hijacker's life that helped lead to this tragic event, as well as the state of society in Brazil and its institutions...yet the hijacker isn't portrayed as a sympathetic victim, just as a realistic tragedy. It hit like a ton of bricks by the end.

It's really bad like that in Brazil sad I looked into a few topics over there after I heard the ADF track called "19 Rebellions".

Check out this movie if you haven't already seen it.

It's about the military/police massacre of prisoners in the system to suppress their revolt against the authorities prison torture.

It's definitely going on my Netflix queue...although I probably won't watch it for a few weeks...two movies like that back to back would be one helluva depressing experience...lol confused

wave I've seen it! Excellent film. Very, very well done. Also one of the most depressing horrible things I've seen. Amazingly grueling to sit through -- hair on end! I love the use of night vision cameras (I think) of the overcrowded prisons, the prisoners speaking all at once to the camera about their conditions. eek The whole thing, portrait of his mother, everything! The opening aerial shots...

Excellent filmmaking, thorough, creative, enlightening...

thumbs up!

Couldn't agree more...especially the things you mentioned (the "negative" film footage inside the overcrowded prison, the aerial shots at the beginning). Absorbing and enlightening film...

I was shocked at just how much actual footage there was around the events in this guy's life...it was almost like some surreal, tragic version of "The Truman Show". sad
