I think this probably speaks more about the audience you happened to be with than Brody's performance.

Maybe, but my problem wasn't his performance. I didn't like the character's role in the film.

Do you not like those types of roles in general? Like Forrest Gump, Rainman, Of Mice and Men, etc. ?
Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I like him, The Village sucked, other than that I've liked all his movies.

The new one isn't supposed to have a twist end, that's fine with me. I read the spoilers and it seems like it'll be good anyway. woot!

Unbreakable, was my favorite too. biggrin

I like all his movoies.
Unbreakable took me a second viewing to really enjoy it for what it was. The Village wasn't bad either.

Of Mice and Men is good, but I don't really like the other two movies. shrug I just think it's lazy writing.

I thought Unbreakable was his best film... and the ending was perfect IMO... really made sense to me.

The Sixth Sense really impressed me. I didn't see the end coming at all, and I can usually predict those twists rather easily.

Signs was also good...but I agree that the H2O bit was ludicrous. Isn't there alot of water in the air we breathe (moisture)??? I also find it hard to accept that an advanced species which has mastered interplanetary travel can't get out of a locked pantry. rolleyes Otherwise the movie was great.

The Village was unfulfilling. His promo thing on HBO (where someone supposedly was looking into his mysterious past) was creepier than the movie.

Never saw Unbreakable, but I sure am looking forward to Lady In The Water.

Unbreakable is my favorite.

I liked all of the others, The village kinda pissed me off, but after reading some of the stuff here I may give it another viewing.

I am looking forward to the Lady in the Water.

It's pretty much expected nowdays that he's going to try and pull the carpet out from under you at the end of the movie. It was fun in The Sixth Sense, but by the time we got to The Village, it's become too much of a gimmick. I can't really take anything seriously when watching his movies because I get the feeling it's all going to be moot by the end.

I think he does a great job of establishing the mood an atmosphere, as well as building up suspense. Signs was a mixed bag of a movie overall, but there were some great scenes in it, like the kids birthday party video, where the alien walks by. Also, when the alien was banging on the door in the basement.

I think he misses the boat with the scripts. There's usually too many things that are illogical or downright ridiculous.

Also, did anyone else notice that there's a bunch of shots in The Village where you can see the boom mic's?? LOL

He's Ok. I find his movies good but just short of great. He normally disappoints me right at the end. sigh

I agree. Except in the case of The Sixth Sense. That had touches of brilliance. The Village was all hype and no punch. It sucked.

With signs I was definately left disappointed. About midway through the movie just fell apart for me.

Stuart Little? I didn't know he did that. That was cute.

Unbreakable wasn't as good as it could have been or should have been. Not sure where that one went wrong.

OK I liked 6th Sense. But hte others...I dunno, I think he thinks he'll get you with the "twist" at the end. And most of the "twists" fall short.

I loved SIXTH SENSE AND SIGNS. It's funny that I didn't really like SIGNS at first. I loved it the second time I saw it. The whole family dynamic and all the coincidences in the film are very heartwarming.
