I'm getting them, I think in October. I posted a long dealio about it a few months ago and thought I'd have had them by now but I've run into some financial issues. I think I'll have it all figured out by October. And then I'll have them for about a year.

I wanted braces, but never got them. I'm not horribly bucked-tooth or anything but I could've had better teeth,

My son is going to need them for sure. We have to wait until he's like 12 or 13 though.

I had a tooth which was growing at an odd angle. As such, I was advised to wear a brace that ran round the back of my lower teeth which would help to straighten the tooth into an upright position. After several months I was advised that it wasn't working. The only thing for it was to take the tooth out. I had the tooth extracted in the dentist chair.

I was only young and the dentist asked if I minded. For some strange reason, whether I was paying attention or not I said I didn't. He numbed my cheek and talked to me to keep my mind of the pain. It wasn't as painful as you might imagine. I did feel nauseous however from the anisthetic he gave me to numb my cheek I recall.

I had them for three years because I fooled my orthodontist.

I told him that I was seeing my Grandma for probably the last time, since she was so old. She lived in the South, and I lived in California. I told him that it was important for my Grandma to see my teeth without the braces, so he took them off a year early.

lol

Does that make me bad?

My top teeth are naturally straight... I did have a fairly large gap when I was in primary school. (nearly quarter-size, I might be exaggerating a bit) lol As I matured, it closed naturally.

I did have my two front teeth filed down (later in life)... the edge of them were a bit ridged.

Not trying to boast, but I never needed them tease My brother and my mom had them. My mom waited until she was in her late 40's to get them. They didn't look bad on her either. I used to want braces when I was younger for some odd reason. I thought they were cute. This one girl in my class from high school had gold braces. At the time I had never seen gold ones before.
