Do you like to be lectured?

I love lectures. To many people think them boring, but not me. Listening to someone speak in a profestional manner. Learning something intresting. I've recordings I've made from college of lectures I wanted to keep. Recording and relistening to lectures, that sounds like fun to me.

Do you like to be lectured?
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I like them unless the lecturer is droning on oblivious to the audience. Then I fall asleep.

No but people seem to lecture me about stupid shit like I am 12 years old. I usually am able to cut them off at the first sentence....but sometimes they just keep going and going and going...even if I walk into the other room and shut the door.

If I was not passive agressive and walked out the door the moment I did I would of caused someone to have a black eye or two. I just get to the point where I don't want to hear it anymore. I am not a passive agressive person at all...but I just get tired of repeating shut the hell up I am not a child...etc in various forms to various people.

thumbs up!

Although, I'd probably be daydreaming instead of actually listening.

Looking back, I didn't attend half as many lectures at university as I would now. I have a real thirst for knowledge that I didn't have back then. I was taught by some real experts in their field. One of which was Dr Vera Tolz. A leading expert on Russian history. I remember my phone going off in one of her lectures much to her annoyance. I wasn't spying on her or anything but I did feel like a bit of a twat. I guess anyone does when their phone goes off in these situations. Especially if you've got a silly ring tone.

If its something Im interested in, yeah, I wanna hear it nod Had some really interesting guest speakers in my conservation and restoration lectures last year, I wrote down every word they said! The lecturer even took my (9pages in 2hours) notes and typed them up for the class boxed

Something Im not interested in...Im staying in bed! lol

Art History classes are great to go to for lectures, I always loved them. We have two really nice museums where I live, the Butler Institute of American Art and the McDonough Museum, and the classes were held right within them, which was nice because you're sitting amongst many of the works they're talking about.
