So, I don't know if you are aware, but yesterday I got quite the deal on 3 pounds of Strawberries. Yesterday that were beautiful, and today I could see them starting to turn, so I knew I had to act fast. So I washed and took off the stems, larger one's I cut in two and smaller ones I just threw into a large pot with a little water. About an hour later, with a little sugar they were made into the type of strawberries you might have as a topping for a sunday. But I was far from done. I threw the mix into the kitchenaid mixer with some egg whites, vinella, a little more sugar, some bakers powder and flower. Beating that to a batter, I threw it into a greezed pan and am now baking my Strawberry Breadcake at 350. In about an hour I will cut myself off a piece and put a little cream cheese on it.

It turned out chewy and soft, and a little dense. More like a flat bread then a cake. It's an easy way to get a couple of servings of fruit at any rate. It will make a lovely breakfast.

And not tryin to change the subject, but some lady knocked on my door yesterday trying to sell me steak and chicken out of a van. WEIRD!

Not that weird. I have one of those in this neborhood. A guy with a refridgerator on the back of his pickup. They are the go between farmers and homes.

It does seem weird though. "Where did you get this chicken?" "from a truck".

yes, I understand. I passed too. Though, it isn't that strange. It is an issue of trust. and when it comes to health, we've learned to trust the stores. Better safe then sorry.
