I've been eyeballing it on the Rental Shielf. was it worth the rent. I do like standup, but I haven't rented standup. I mostly only get my standup fix via ComedyChannel.

Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

The musical segments were kind of fun, but the lyrics were just 8th grade potty-mouthing, nothing really clever.

I loved the rape joke in the beginning though, that seemed to pretty much sum up her humor throughout the rest of the movie. There were moments where I thought she was really dry and witty, and other times where it just felt like she was being weird and cynical for the sake of it, without any punchline.

not for the easily offended... like, REALLY not for people who can in any way be offended.

the stand-up is great. the songs just kinda got on my nerves because they aren't as good as the stand-up and interrupt the stand-up.

true.
but i am kind-of anti-punchline for the most part, so it was right up my alley.

i felt bad, being hiv positive and all, but i was screaming with laughter during the aids part. normally, i dont really think cancer and aids are the kind of thing you should joke about, but she made it work.

"When God gives you AIDS - and God does give you AIDS, by the way - make lemonAIDS."

"I was raped by a doctor.
[pause]
Which is, you know, so bittersweet for a Jewish girl."

"I was licking jelly off of my boyfriend's penis and all of a sudden I'm thinking, "Oh My God, I'm turning into my mother!"

"Strippers should be role-models for little girls. If only for the fact that they wax their assholes."

Musical segments--awful and lame for the most part, not very funny

Standup--funny, but I've seen her tell some of these jokes before.

7.5/10

I would've rather had a brand new all stand-up film.
