Is there any way this could be good? Michael Bay hasn't had a hit in a long time. But I have to see how they do it. biggrin

Oh no. I loved Transformers as a young boy (7-9 years, if I remember correctly), but it's pretty easy to see now in retrospect that it was just a pretty typical effort to exploit kids' natural lack of consumer discretion by starting up comic books and TV-series in order to sell poorly designed and overtly expensive toys. In fact, Transformers was one of the very first toy lines to expand the whole phenomenon to such a large extent.

I just mentioned that on the "other" thread. Yeah, Michael Bay is directing. sigh I think I have only seen the Island. So we'll get lots of Eye candy and quick action scenes that don't make a lot of sense.

Everything will look great in a flashy and not incredibly soulful way. He did Bad Boys(decent buddy flick), Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys 2, and The Island. He's a real winner. sigh

mad I really liked the Island - as did my friend. Maybe it's a British-appeal film.

I loved the Transformers as a kid. I am really looking forward to next year's VOLTRON film. The score is being composed by Pharrell Williams.

Transformers from the 80's were a very good cartoon at the time (within the first 2 seasons). But anything went downhill beginning in season 3.

Actually, this info only covers the original TV series from the 80's.

Main Characters from all four seasons here (Happy Studying!):

If any of you were fans of the original Transformers series, you already know what to look for in the upcoming 2007 film.

I hope this movie is done right. Now somebody needs to get to work on a Thundercats movie, with Ms. Jolie-Pitt as you know who.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
