I have to be kinda mildly professional. Most of the people I work with feel free to wear jeans or whatever to work, but clients see more of me, so I have to kick it up a notch. However, we all walk around barefoot, 'cause I work with a bunch of filthy hippies. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1! | |

Moderator | Business dress or Business casual. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Ex-Moderator | you people suck!!
we have a fairly specific dress code. it's honestly pages long. suffice to say: suits are always preferred. men must wear a jacket or tie at all times. women can get away with a button down shirt and dress pants, but that's about as casual as you can take it. clean, pressed jeans with no tears or holes are allowed on fridays. t shirts or sweatshirts are fine on fridays, but cannot have any writing, advertising or graphics on them bigger than say a tiny little brand icon smaller than your thumb. no flip-flops or 'beach' shoes at any time. Are you an editor for Vogue? What the hell? I WISH! Nah, I work for Target Corporation, as in Target stores. Specifically, I work in target technology services (Target HQ is in Mpls) and the dress code is the same throughout all of our headquarters offices. They went all dress codey about 2 years ago. I sorta get it, but it pisses me off nonetheless. |
