So. I gave her a ride to pick up her car at lunchtime today, and she drops a total bomb on me: she used to be in a relationship with my supervisor. Who is, apparently, very jealous. And I've picked up on the fact that the supervisor doesn't like that my crush and I get along, but I couldn't figure out why the hell she'd care. Well, now I know. She's jealous. While I'd like to believe that she could remain professional if Hotness and I get involved, jealousy is a fucking powerful thing. Oh, drama. My inclination at the moment, honestly, is to just level with Hotness, tell her I've got a thing for her, and find out whether it is at all mutual. Because my employer wants me to stay for another year (my position was supposed to end in teh fall, but they're bribing me to stay), but I'm much more interested in Hotness than in the job, and (as many of you thoughtfully warned), it's really looking like the two could be incompatible. But I don't WANT to level with her! I'm scurred. 
 It sounds like she leveled with you already, to create an opening for you to express your feelings. I don't know, but I don't think most people would open up about that kind of inter-office relationship casually. So, it sounds like she trusts you and wants to hear what you think of her. Secondly, the job sounds nuttier by the moment. Are you looking around? It did feel like an opening-up thing, yes. And I'm going to be heading back to school pretty soon. Darlings, I think it's good advice. I do. I'm gonna feel it out. But. . . well. . . we were blabbing again today, and I told her we should "hang out" sometime outside of work so that we don't have to be interrupted by phones and stuff, and she comes up to me a few minutes later and asks me to go and "get drinks" with her on the 4th (which we both have off). In actuality, she showed up at my door Monday to pick up her dog with flowers for me, and says "these are because I have a total 16-year-old crush on you." So I didn't have to go for it. I'm realizing that I don't really know what to say.  She came over, we went "yeah, I like you too", and. . .we had an amazing 36 hours. It's just better than good. And not just the sex. Though that has been fun. Yesterday we went to this park on Lake Washington that was pretty crowded because of the holiday, but we found a little secluded path to the waterfront, and. . . um. . .
