Okay, it's been a while since I've started a thread but this is TOO weird to ignore.

I've been having crazy vivid dreams lately, but last night took it to a whole new level. A bit of background, I've been watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer for the first time which I'm sure inspired this dream. Also, I tend to have crazy action movie dreams which are all exciting and accompanied by cheesy 70s music and whatnot. I typically enjoy them a lot.

As you may have guessed, last night I had a crazy action movie dream with lotsa vampires. Me and all my friends were running around fighting them and whatnot.

It was all good till I got trapped under a vampire. It looked like the end for me. So, I gathered all my strength to flip myself out from under the vamp.

WHAP! BAMMM! OWCH!!!

Suddenly I look around confused as I'm on the floor of my room. I had flipped myself OFF THE BED. Hit my leg reeeeaaaallly hard on the corner of the dresser, knocked my water glass off my night stand all over myself and there I was: wet sore and confused. Still groggy I sat up quickly thinking "WTF??!!!" At which point i NAILED my head against the corner of the dresser.

So, today I woke with a NASTY bruise on the side of my leg, a sweet little welt on my forehead and in a small amount of pain.



So, any thoughts? I have never sleep walked or anything like that. What the heck made me so crazy in my dream last nite?

Anyone else ever have seriously vivid dreams like this? On the one hand it's funny but on the other hand it's freaky cos I really hurt myself.

Too much dreaming usually makes me end up wet, sore and confused too.

Have you been under a lot of undue stress lately? Do you think your freaky dreams are a way of your mind processing some stress that you recently dealt with? Sometimes I think dreams are the mind's way of defragmenting all the insane stuff we deal with in waking life.

I've never had this happen to me personally, but my favorite teacher back in High School broke his ankle once during I dream. He kicked the wall next to his bed really hard while he dreamt he was playing soccer.

I felt really bad for him.

That was no dream. Sounds like you became...

I think I even posted the dream, but she wasn't in it. But I was a vampire slayer in the dream, very much like Buffy. I had a pony tail and while I was getting ready for the big showdown that night, gathering my weapons and barking orders to my friends who were helping me and such I stopped to look in a mirror and admire my cleavage. I woke up laughing so hard.

i can relate ... night before last i dreamt my friend shoved a dagger between my ankel bone and achilles tendon

yesterday it ached all day and was slightly red and the skin was sensitive

The welt on my head is only REALLY visible from certain angles. A coworker offered to cover it with concealer

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. A LOT of good things have been happening at my job but the past 6 weeks have been sooo hectic and stressful and I don't think I'm processing that much at all. So, I'm thinking that the stress of that and a few other personal things found an outlet last nite.

One time I bolted up out of my sleep and banged my head on the wall and cut my forehead open!

When I was a teenager I didn't get much sleep and when my alarm would go off I had a habit of getting up before I woke up and more than a few times I stumbled and fell right into my closet.
