It's summer here now. The tourists have been arriving these past few weeks or so...

Besides hanging out on the beach for at least part of the day everyday (gets too hot, tell the truth), I'll be looking forward to finishing this master's thesis, and watching progress on my new house...

Meanwhile, people come hang out at the beach & it's cool & all.

Then leaving for vacation in the US in early September, and not coming back 'til mid October... it's a long vacation this year, albeit an unusual one. cool smile

I'm near Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY. It IS nice here,we get so many acts because we hae a great music and art community here. Also, we're close to Canada so the Canadian musicians come here to break into the US market. That's why Jeff Martin plays here all the time. I've seen him and the TeaParty at least 20 times and only had to pay for 3 or 4 of them. There's a little place here that ALL the big acts come and play, usually under false names where you can see amazing people for very little, I saw the Cure for $10 and there were only 100 people there. Joe Strummer used to love our town and come here and play every night for a week at a time for a $5 cover. biggrin The trick is there's NO advertising the big acts, so you usually find out who's playing when you get there.

I throwing a party in my backyard next Saturday for my and a friend's birthday. Well, sort of a cocktail hour(s) and then we're doing an Uptown pub crawl cause my apartment can only fit about 4 people in it. giggle
And I think that's all I have planned for the summer. lol
There are always a million things to do in Mpls in the summer. There's a festival or block party of some kind every weekend.
I will also likely spend many hours walking around the lakes and many hours just relazing. smile
