What do you actually do??

I dont mean whats your job title, or what you do for a living, but what do you actually spend your working day doing? hmmm

Meetings?
On the phone?
Filing?
writing reports?

What do you do?

Im a trainee building surveyor, but I spend most of my time doing architectural drawing, filing, sending faxes, and filling in complex spreadsheets! Ocassionally I get to go out and survey, or take the minutes of a meeting, bu thats about it.

What about you guys???

A bit of both. I have really nice software I work with that does most of it for me. Basically I watch and analyze trends throughout the day, every day, report what happened and report what I think is gonna happen. lol.

oh lord. lol
I do workforce management for a help desk. We forecast, staff, schedule and do real-time management of the contacts. It's really not that fascinating, I assure you. lol. So we forecast how many contacts we think we'll get, we hire and create schedules for those numbers, then as each day, week, month goes on we look at if we're getting as many or fewer contacts than we expected and make adjustments based on that.

when I do have a bit of work on I communicate with my clients via email, they send me a brief and do a bit of research if necessary and do some designs, email the client visuals, then it's a bit of toing and froing until it all looks right and then I prepare the artwork to send to print. I never even meet most of my clients! lol little do they know I am sitting and doing their corporate stationery whilst in my pyjamas eating pizza for breakfast with kids shrieking and racing around the house like lunatics.
