Even if you do end up getting white, they sell stickers you can cover your iPod with to make it change colors and patterns.

I like the white better....especially since it has that shiny silver backing. It just looks more futuristic. Mine is a little over a year old, so they didn't even make the black ones at the time. Maybe the next time I get one it'll be black, just so I'll automatically know what's on which iPod. I have a couple of skins to put on it, but I rarely use them. I don't really care for how it feels.....it feels a little too rubbery/play-doh like. I guess it'll keep me from dropping it though....which to my suprise hasn't happened yet....at least not on hard flooring *knocks on wood*

They both look great. I do prefer the white one though. It just feels more "Apple"
