I constantly get free address labels in the mail from animal shelters, asking me for a donation of money. Think I have enough address labels to last me for another 2 - 3 years.

so you can't move for at least that long!!

I usually don't respond to the requests for donation, but I use all the labels anyway. All three of the cats I have now are former strays, so I feel like I've contributed in my own way.

its also fun to ask them to next time just send the design that you like

My mother donates to a couple animal groups, She gets all kinds of stuff from a lot of different organiztions. There's something almost every month, mugs, calendars, umbrellas, tote bag, stickers, gift wrap paper, ect.I help her with her finances and when this started, I was worried that she might be over doing her donations. But she only donates to two different animal charities and four or five groups are sending her stuff with "suggested" donation amounts.
She never sends them money and they keep sending stuff.
