You know those quirks that little kids have? Well, this one's pretty common, I'm sure, but it's very entertaining to me. I know a five year old girl who likes her sandwiches and bread cut diagonally. Occasionally it becomes difficult to cut certain breads diagonally, and that was the situation last night when she asked for it. I had to tell her basically no way, because it was near impossible to cut it diagonally. She started to whine about it but there wasn't much I could do.

So then I started talking to someone about it and we started joking that she was soon going to want everything cut diagonally; as in french fries, potato chips, green beans, bowls of cereal, pudding, melon, the world, and just about everything else. It was a very interesting conversation, but anyway...

Do you guys know any kids who have the same obsession or similar obsessions? I think it's hilarious sometimes what kids focus on...

I think a lot of little kids like their sandwiches cut diagonally, it seems to be a fairly common thing.

I know a person, when she was a little girl, who liked to eat frozen bread. Her mom would take the bread right out the freezer and give it to her to eat.

My nephew, when he was younger, would not eat something if it had dark spots in it. He would ask, "What's this black stuff?", and would refuse to eat it. Thankfully, he's getting better about trying new things now, but when he was younger, he was a fussy eater.
