Feature Films For Families - A SCAM? I received a phone call just a few minutes ago from a lady who was obviously a telemarketer. She asked me three simple questions.
1) Do you feel that films and T.V. are become more and more violent/racey? My answer was yes 2) Do you have children? My answer was no 3) Would it be o.k. to setup a call between yourself and a representative from a group(she used the word "group") called "Feature Films for Families" ? I said, "no it wouldn't be, I'm on the do-not-call-registry. How did you get my name/number?" She proceeded to wrap up the call, and I told her "no--don't hang up. I want to know...." ( click ) I was livid. I called the company back and asked how they got my name. Moreover, I looked up the "Group" on the internet and it seems like a private company to me that is using a so-called non profit charity to front their business. Does anyone know anything about this group? http://www.familytv.com/ <-- The company http://www.dove.org/ <-- The so-called charity group How can I lodge a complaint? These guys should not be getting away with this. And be among her cloudy trophies hung.

I've goten calls from that Dove Foundation before. At least it says "Dove Foundation" right on my caller ID so I never have to pick up the phone when they call. I think they've given up on me, though, because it's been quite a while since they called last.

I went to the National Do-Not-Call registry to file a complaint but their online form doesn't seem to work, and they don't have a hotline number. And be among her cloudy trophies hung.

Yes, it's obviously a conservative/religous organization. I don't have an issue with those organizations asking for donations or trying to hand out information, but this one is obviously fronting for a private company that is selling material for profit. It totally pisses me off that they do shit like this! And be among her cloudy trophies hung.

You clearly need more to do if this causes you this much distress.

Logicall Ah-hA, but here's the catch! The NDNCL (national do not call list) doesn't exclude calls from Poles and something else, I think it's political calling, anyway, so the wormy little bastards are trying to get around that by "pole calling" first. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Some moron bereft of his own life thinks he can judge me based on my posts--that's pretty damned funny. Anyways, a complaint has been lodged and the company has also placed me on their own do not call list and issued an apology to me. And be among her cloudy trophies hung.

That's a misleading question for them to ask you.
If someone asked me if I thought TV and Movies were becoming more violent and racey, I would probabbly say "yes" as well, but that doesn't mean I am against violent or racey content on TV, I'm just acknowledging there's more of it nowdays. Something tells me they are going to twist these results to imply that a majority of people are against racey/violent content in the media. It was on the news this morning that they raised (significantly) the FCC fines for indecent content on TV.
