Anyone remember the film "legend" with Tom Cruise?

I just watched it again, but realized the score was different to the one i remember seeing in USA as a kid.

I found out, to dumb the film down to US audiences, they changed the composer from jerry goldsmiths great score, to some new age synth band tangerine dream?

Also, the girl sings some weird songs at the beginning of the movie, but i read that was cut out of the US version?

Anyway, very flawed film, and the original version has no cheesy song at the end, which was a good thing. Shame the actual narrative to this film was very poor, but those designs and look of the film is incredible in places

And the princess looked alot better as some sort of vampire/goth then in her normal outfit

i have the u.s. version. and it is one of my favorite movies. and i love tom cruise in this movie because of his rawness and pre-hollywood non-make over look. he was actually very very wonderful in this movie. (check out tom's teeth in this movie)

I haven't thought of this movie in years. I liked it but only saw the US version.

Yeah, other than the score, theres nothing in it really, apart from some little changes like the song the girl sings as i mentioned above.

Still, i cant remember the US score, but from the clips i heard online, i'll take the professional goldsmith score anyday.

shame Tim Currey wasn't in it more.

Yeah, hes great in everything i see him in. Even if he does tend to be in films which are, lets say, to put it politely "beneath him".

In Stallone screwball comedy "oscar", he was great, and even in "home alone 2" he was funny. But he seems to be typecast as a brit eccentric somewhat?

Yeah, I think he is typecast somewhat in movies. You probably see more of him on tv than we do. He's done a lot of voice overs for cartoons.

Yeah, shame, but hes very good at what he does.

More geek talk, obviously the nintendo god shigeru miyamoto was a fan of the movie, as u can see some similarities (small ones mind) between this and the mind blowing "legend of zelda: ocrina of time" game for the n64. (best game ever)

Ur right, i think she was in ferris bueller? I never liked that film. If corey haim was the lead, then the flm mighta been less annoying

Zach morris was more rebellious then ferris

that's her! Legend was another visually incredible film from the man who brought you Alien and Blade Runner, too bad the script sucked!

That and the stupid muppets. They ruined willow and labriynth aswell. Also, the camera angles had too many extreme close ups for some odd reason? At times it was hard to see what was going on.

Still, when mia dances with that thing, thats a wonderful scene. U know the one i mean? CGI has ruined some of the warmth old fashioned makeup has

Tim Curry is absolutely awesome in Legend.

"Whats this?A little boy?"
(best line)

The make up Tim Curry wears must have taken him hours to get put on.
Is this out on DVD yet? Does it have directors commentary on it?
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I fucking LOVED this movie nod Fantastic art direction, Tom seemed so innocent. I'd watch it to this day, Tim Curry was great. The way he said, "Does it... pleeeeease you?" (or whatever the line was when he asked if everything was up to par for Lilly once he had her captive) was classic clapping

worship shigeru miyamoto. I have that same pic, only from the new game that's coming out, as my background these days biggrin Zelda is the best. Yeah, I see the similarities too.

Tim curry's character scared the shit out of me.

He was much more personable in women's stockings and high heels.
