Isn't this a movie Prince could have starred in and directed? With Tamar in the Tatou role?

I am loving the idea of Patrick, but what about my other favorite TV doc?

If he were cast as a murder victim, I could go for that.

hmmm I dunno. I still suspect he and Patrick may be too blatantly dreamy and come off too young onscreen for the story. Plus, while he rocks Dr. Carter, has he ever had a strong, serious screen role?

I've said plenty of times Gabriel Byrne too nod But That Patrick fella (dont know his surname) looks about right too...

and definitely Giles from Buffy!! He'd have been perfect!

Im glad Im not the only one visualising Langdon as this type of guy - who is NOTHING like Hanks!!!

Tom Hanks --> brick

ANd I dont agree with Audrey Tatou either... but who was the one in Chocolat? If she were a teeny bit younger hmmm

no he hasn't but having a big name to carry the film hasn't helped either lol

From The Onion:
The Release of The Da Vinci Code, the long-awaited adaptation of the bestselling novel, is being met with controversy. What do you think?

Seymour McLeesh
Systems Analyst
"This movie is going to be huge. It's got the three elements of every
blockbuster: Fine art, obscure religious references, and Audrey Tautou."

Matt Medsker
Damaturge
"I've been waiting my whole life to hear, 'Oh, no, Jesus ditn't!'
shouted in a movie theater. Perhaps now that dream may come true."

Larry Brun
Production Assistant
"Yet another film with an evil albino. I put it to you, Hollywood: When
are you going to give me a positive albino role model?"

William Faulkner.

I don't have a picture of him, but he's the actor from "Armeggedon" who's character lead the NASA mission and got the gun when they were going to blow up the nuke early.

I also was thinking Henry Czerny. He's 47, he's handsome and he has a certain "gravitas." He's played Dr. Briggs in the Exorcism of Emily Rose and Tom Cruise's boss in the Mission Impossible flicks.

It's alright movie so I guess when it comes out on dvd people will find out.

It's not half as bad as the media and the religious are making it out to be. Tom Hanks is believable in the role and I think the critism is weak but so is all of the negative attention this movie is getting.

I mean it's not Gigli, give me a break.

Colin Farrell's a great actor. I thought about Russell Crowe, but I didn't buy him as a professor in "A Beautiful Mind."

Gray up Colin's hair. He could do it, for sure.

He was the best part about "Minority Report." That's the movie that made me realize he could really act. Stole the movie from Tom Cruise, in my opinion.

prior to reading everyone elses answers...

my sister and i had this SAME conversation 2 nights ago...

i said Pierce Brosnan. she said a younger Sean Connery. i didn't think her answer was fair...we can't unage Sean (is unage a word?? well it is now dammit!) and the movie is now...Sean is old now...doesn't work. Pierce is classy, intelligent, handsome, still looks rather youthful...plus while reading the book, even though it was in kind of a clumsy way, i pictured Robert Langdon to be spyish...sort of James Bond-like.
