Magic! Do you like magic? It seems to have gone out of fashion a bit hasn't it? I like the whole bravado of it. Sawing people in half and putting them back together and all that malarky. Have you favourite trick? The rabbit in the hat? Have you ever performed in a magic show as the magician or helper? What happened? Was a mistake made? Reveal all...in a magical, mystical way...

I saw the magic show at the Beacon theatre back in the 70's...bought a tshirt that i wore out. Doug Henning was one of a new generation of illusionists. I believe his wife was in the act with him, but they may have gotten divorced...he was a cool dude.
I once organized a charity magic show...I saw how some tricks were done, and couldn't figure out how others were pulled off I also saw Harry Blackstone Jr. (son of famous magician, traditional magic tricks), and Penn and Teller. They were really good. [Edited 5/23/06 15:00pm]

He ran for political office as a candidate of the Natural Law Party in a riding in Toronto in the '90s. I remember his commercials. He was promoting something called "yogic flying". The ads showed him sliding down a rainbow in some yoga sitting position, with him promising that yoga would be the solution to all our country's problems such as our debt and taxes. Weirdest.shit.ever. I'm pretty sure he lost and never ran again. He died 5 or 6 years ago.
