My initial point behind the user name was to reflect these two aspects of humanity: the wearing down and away of the commonplace, as well as the inescapable nature of redundancy within the human experience, even as it relates to the pursuit of wisdom. (how often are our pursuits with wisdom synonymous with our pursuits of being "right!")

Presently, however, it stands to reflect this point of life in my faith walk, where God is changing my life while exposing the naps and strained fabrics in my life. That point of tension, of fraying, where all roads -- even the pursuit of wisdom -- lead back to Him. That place of steadily seeking to understand the reason behind life's occurrences and, especially, its disappointments ... as He builds my faith in Him.
